Jay Jalaram Brick Works

A facing brick stays exposed. Nothing goes over it, so the colour and the texture have to be right the day the wall goes up.

We have been firing clay in Godhra for thirty-five years. Most of what we make is specified by architects, for interiors and exteriors, and it is meant to last as long as the building does.

Exposed brick weathers. That is usually the point: it picks up depth instead of looking tired, which is why so much of it is left uncovered.

We do not manufacture construction bricks

The Range

Eight families

Wire-cut, extruded, rumbled, split. The cladding range carries the same faces as the full bricks, for walls that cannot take the weight.

Versatile hues

Seven colour
families

Classic reds, darks, yellows, reclaimed. Colour shifts with the light on the elevation and with the mortar you set it in, so it is worth seeing a sample on site before you specify.
